Driving back through the area and decided to stop in for a quick 18 on this wooded 27hole layout.
The 18hole loop for today is Red (2,963yd / Par 35) and White (3,090yd / Par 35) layouts from the Blues (4 Tee boxes) for $26 w/cart was a great deal.
Starting out on Red #1 an 278yd straightaway Par 4 was a nice easy start of a great round. The #2 dogleg right 345yd Par 4 needs a full 200yd carry to the corner if you want to get a good look at the green. Where the yardage here is on the short side, its narrow mowed fairways adds a little challenge from the deep grass and overhanging tree branches. The #3 Par 3 is only 120yards to the smaller sized green but going long (drop off) will be a double bogey gift. The #4 dogleg left 376yd Par 4 needs another 200-220yd drive to reach center cut corner to the well-protected green. Number #6 an 365yd Par 4 has a small fairway crossing stream at 180yds to catch those corner placement shots. The #9 is a great finishing 527yd Par 5 that has a LH dogleg tee shot to the corner and a narrow fairway to the raised protected green.
The Back 9 White course starts out with #1 being a narrow 341yd Par 4 that has high trimmed trees, allowing for full swing saves, if needed. Slight doglegs seem to a trend in the design for this course layout. Number #3 378yd Par4 and #4 465yd Par 5 are the next dogleg right layouts you'll have to contend with to hit those corner locations. The #6 is a narrow 557yd Par 5 to another well protected and smooth holding green. The #8 203yd Par 3 has water all down the righthand side, so miss left for the bailout. The #9 is another dogleg left 365yd Par 4 to a raised green that needs full carry if you want to score.
I enjoyed the tree-lined layout with the many dogleg challenges shooting 39/38 w/31 putts on this well manicured 27 hole Public layout.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
