$21 (cart included), played on Tuesday, April 2021 at 8:30 AM

This 1961 Locally owned/designed course. Although short on yardage, it plays tough with its narrow pine treelined fairways. Having four (4) tee boxes with Blues at 6,049yd / 69.7 / 119 and Reds at 4,906yd / 68.0 / 110 your degree of difficultly comes from many pine trees with branches to the ground. Having them spaced near your landing areas will cause more pain than any sand trap could ever produce, unless its a "Pot" bunker. The grass conditions were very good from tee to green, unless you strayed into the 2"-3" sticky rough 20"-30' off the fairways. The Senior price of $24 w/cart was very acceptable on this 60 degree day with a 1-2 club wind coming in from the SW. We chose the Blues because of the yardage, but found quickly carries to the corners were very demanding. The #1 straightaway Par 5 is short at 473yds but narrow w/ pine trees and into the wind...Tough. The #2 Par 4 dogleg right at 273yds has 100' Oak trees from the tee to corner 200yds out, with water in front/right of the green. The #4 Par 4 at 326yds is a sweeping left fairway around a swamp with a marsh on the outside edge so pick your landing area wisely. The #6 is a very narrow Par 4 at 295yd with a LH pond at 200yds out that creeps into the fairway. The #9 Par 5 at 540yds is their Hcp 2 hole thats mowed narrow with extra thick rough and plays slightly uphill. Back 9 #10 Par 4 at 395yds is another narrow mowed fairway w/ thick rough. The #11 is a short Par 3 at 123yds with water in front of the tee to green that tightens up your grip. The #12 Par 4 at 396yds has deadly pine trees lining the left side of the fairway to the green that protects its Hcp 1 ranking. The #14 Par 5 at 560yds has the tightest tree lined I've ever seen from the Blue tees with a 20' window for your first 80yds out. The #17 is a sweeping left 350yd Par 4 with a swamp/trees on the inside corner that keeps you from cutting the corner. The #18 Par 5 at 466yds is a nice finishing hole if you just play three (3) safe shots down the middle and walk off with a smile. My son Barry ended up shooting 48/47 w/36putts as the thick rough and pine trees took their toll. I had 40/44 w/33putts and managed better luck on those missed fairways.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
