Traveling through this Farm land area and stumbled upon this lush green 9 hole Links layout ...I think we have time. Looking at the new scorecard, I was surprised to see five (5) yardage selections from 3,369yd to 2,424yds for Par36. Their 18 hole loop has the 2nd 9 using Gold tees at 3,026yds for a Par 35 by changing #1 hole to a 419yd Par 4. Only having time for 9 holes, we paid our $19 w/cart ($29/18) and drove to the Blue tees. Starting with a 570yd Par 5 will get you warmed up in a hurry. Fairways were fair and lush with good thick rough To challenge those stray shots. Non typical shaped greens was a surprise to find and held very well. The #2 a 348yd Par 4 allows you a feel good Par as things will get tougher. The #3 a 189yd Par 3 has Green or RH trap your safe landing areas. By #4 a 423yd Par 4 I noticed that they had narrow mowed landing strips inside 100yds. The #7 a Dogleg 558yd Par 5 is the #1 Hcp with narrow strip w/ ponds starting 150yds out. The #8 and #9 are straight forward 400yd Par 4’s to finish your round. Nice surprise to find this gem in the middle of nowhere’s and challenging also. Shot 39 w/16putts in 1.5hrs on this homeward bound journey home. Worth the stop if in the area.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
Condition of Course, Price, Pace of Play, Ambiance, Staff, Layout, No Houses on Course
