A business associate of mine, Bill J purchased this local course about 3-4 years to fulfill his dream of owning a Golf course.

This 5,474 yd / 18 hole / Par 36/35 was designed by Ellis in 1948 and has been enjoyed by the local community of Durand, MI ever since. Its a typical Links layout with scattered trees, straightforward fairways that lead into small greens. These are mostly 15-20yd round/flat greens protected by well kept grass (very few sand) bunkers. They hold/putt very nice but being accurate and good at "Up & Downs" will be the key to low scores. They have the traditional 100 - 150 - 200yd blocks down the middle with the 150yd white stake to give you a target for your tee shot.

The #8 Par 3 / 160yd hole has a back tee @ 210yds that I suggest you play from to the 15yd target green.

The #2 hcp hole is #18 / 530yd / Par5 dogleg that has pressure reaching the corner 240yds to get a good look at the green.

Enjoyed seeing a full course "Shot Gun Scramble" getting ready to tee off as I finished up. Enjoyed shooting 37/35 w/29putts on this well manicured layout located just off I-69 that is ready for your golfing enjoyment.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
