Traveling back through on Hwy 45 from Grand Haven and decided to stop and check out this "Home Grown" short 18 hole/Par 60 layout. Was told the front 9 (1,742yds) was wide open and the back 9 (1,688yds) would clear in 1 hour. Paid my $18 Senior rate for 18 w/cart ($10 walking) and in 2hrs 15min I was back in the car. Great course to leave the woods in the bag and give the long irons a real workout on the small, smooth but great shaped greens. Good tree lined fairways with decent grass and the marked sprinkler heads was a bonus. Had six par 4's with twelve par 3's and doglegs on #5 & #14 breaking up the other straight away hole layouts. The #7 is a full carry par 4 across a ravine that is very scenic. Having sand scattered someplace on almost every hole with trees gave it a little more character and definition to a typical flat layout. Shooting 33/33 w/28putts shows my accuracy on hitting small greens but having good "Up & Downs" being my strong suit. Good place to stop for a afternoon quickie on a great little layout for teaching kids or working on your iron game.
Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
