$41 (cart included), played on Monday, March 2021 at 12:15 PM

Traveling through the area and had this 1993 Patrick Wyss designed course right next to Hwy 50/81 intersection so it was a no brainer. Being a Monday, lunch time and very windy day, it was wide open for a senior $41.50 eighteen (18) hole loop with a cart. Having four (4) tee boxes from 6,997yd / 73.7 / 126 down to 5,209yd / 65.5 / 107 you can choose your comfort level of play on this Par 36/36 layout. I chose to play the Blues that were playing 3,038/3,114yds because to wind was 10-15mph on this mostly open layout. The photo insert above gives a great view of the scattered trees and good separation between holes. The Front 9 starts out with two (2) Par 4's at 351/420yds that even being fairly straight, the sculptured mowed fairways, adds a element of ball placement. The raised greens throughout the course have steep fronts to reject those shots coming in short. Wasting no time in getting to their Hcp 1 the #3 hole Par 5 at 565-439yd with water on the LH/RH side of the narrow fairway, so play smart. Nothing tricky on the #4 Par 3 playing 186-97yds if you avoid the water down the lefthand side to the green. The #6 Par 4 plays 406-291yds and protects its Hcp 3 by having a raised green with a front sand trap hugging the green. The #7 521-394yd Par 5 is just a snake like mowed fairway, wiggling its way to a front trap raised green. The #8 is a uphill and into the wind 208-103yd Par 3 with a large green. I felt that #9 Par 4 plays a tough 453-326yds with water framing the fairway all the way to the green. The Back 9 starts out with a nice 497-410yd sculptured mowed fairway on this friendly Par 5 to get your scoring confidence back. Follow that up with two (2) side by side Par 4's at 422yd (#11) downhill and 399yds (#12) uphill and watch those landing areas. The #14 is your Hcp 2 Par 5 with a winding fairway leading up to a front sand trap protected gum drop green, that rejects missed approach shots. The #18 Par 4 plays downhill at 389-306yds BUT has a narrow landing area with 150-180yd water carry to the green. Really enjoyed playing this well manicured course that was better in March that most courses in June. Shooting 41/38 w/31 putts always makes playing a new course fun but it really is a great layout, that you need to stop in and play.

Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
