Down here on vacation with Family and Son-in-law Kevin wanted to tee it up someplace...so here we are. With four (4) tees to choose from, we choose the tips/Blues at 3,395yd/2,848yd / 70.0/120 for a of Par 37/34. The Front 9 opens #1 up with a downhill tee 395yd Par 4 to a uphill elevated green. The #2 Par 4 starts back uphill to a dogleg RH green that's 412yds away. The #3 a 529yd Par 5 runs you downhill all the way to a very large round green, so enjoy the trip. These Front 9 holes are mostly open so get that tee shot working straight before you get to the Back 9, trust me. Number 4 is one relaxing 469yd Par 5 so enjoy because #7 Hcp 1, is a long 468yd Par 4. The #9 is another friendly uphill 470yd Par 5 if you can hit the very elevated green on that 3rd shot. Back 9 starts out with a friendly winding downhill 470yd Par 5 and could be your last easy Par if you haven't got that straight tee shot working. (I didn't) The #12 Par 3 plays 194yd from the top with a plaque saying 165yds shot is required on this 100'+ drop to the large green. The photo is best taken from the green to the tee boxes to show the elevation. All I can say about the rest of the holes is "Tight Tee shots, Tight Fairways" and hit those target landing areas. The #16 is a short 327yd Par 4 but you must stay on the left side of fairway or the grassy RH ravine awaits your arrival. The #17 is a two (2) extra club uphill 231yd Par 3 Hcp 2, with my driver being short of course. Finishing hole #18 384yd Par 4 has the only water carry on your 2nd 150-160yd shot from the top of the hill, to the small green. This is a scenic course but the Back 9 2,848yds will challenge every tee shot and reward only the fairway shots. Kevin had his driver banging the center-cuts all day shooting 41/37 w/35putts and no real problems. I struggled off the tee with 46/47 w/36putts and hitting regulation only to 3 putt my pars away. Worth playing here as it is a very scenic layout.......from the fairway.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
Condition of Course, Pace of Play, Difficulty, Ambiance, Layout, No Houses on Course
