Cloudy, 15mph winds, and 42 degrees welcomed me and my Son to Michigan fall golf. First time playing here and was not disapointed by anything on the North Course.
With the tall trees breaking up the wind, the wind really didn't affect the play on most holes. The sand was as soft as an August day at the beach and protects 60% of all the greens vey well. Played a mix of tee boxes between the white/green at about 6,000yds and with my 220 drives found the narrow parts. Hitting from the Green/Black would have provided a little wider landing areas.
For $30 this was a real deal. Add to that my score of 82 with 38 putts, I was very happy. Son, Barry an 87 with 33 putts with BOTH of us having birdies on #11 a 135yd par 3. That really made the day special.
The South course looks hilly and more trees so next year we'll try that course. Worth the stop!!!
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
Condition of Course, Difficulty, Layout, No Houses on Course, Pace of Play, Staff
