This is still a nine (9) hole Private club but my old friend Mark L is a long time member and he finally retired so we can play almost ....... Anytime. On playing 18 holes they play from Blue (3,211yd) / White (2,916 yd) every other hole for a total of 6,127yds / 70.7 / 128 for this Par 36/36 rolling layout. Conditions here today were flawless from tee to green and everything was fitting for this to be the Members Only w/Guest to keep the level of play, a Member would demand. This is a rolling layout with scattered trees far enough away from the fairways to only cause those that stray more than 20yds any problems. The greens were surprisingly on the large size on the longer holes and smaller when yardage favored the player. No real hole stands out other than #5 a 155/141yds Par 3 that has you hitting to the elevated green bordered by a rejecting steep front and narrow tree bookends to split, getting to the promise land. Greens were rolling 9-10 and not a pinch mark to be found anywhere, but your own. The #6 Par 5 at 511yds has you hitting a draw around trees/gully about 180yds to find the fairway from the Blue tee box, right is trees. The #9 is a straightaway 486yd Par 5 that has your green approach shot a little blind that slopes away from you. Ended up shoting 41/39 w/30putts as lessons learned the first loop were improved upon. Worth playing this old Gem if in the area and have a sponsor.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
Condition of Course, Price, Pace of Play, Staff, Layout, No Houses on Course
