I found myself in this area for the week and getting out of work early, so 9 holes before dinner sounds great.
This course opened in 1965 with William Gordon being the architect of this 6,068yd/69.0/120 to 4,625yd/62.7/107 (3 tees) Links type design.
Though short on yardage for the Front 9 at 3,199yd / Par 36 it makes up for its narrow fairways, thick rough and soft undulating greens. Missing short will set up for easy "Up and Downs" as the traps are pin high on both sides, mostly. Played from the Blues and #1 374yd Par 4 has the narrowest spot 200yds from the tee box. Thick grass with trees awaited my 2nd 170yd shot, so missing left is a little better. The straightaway #4 543yd Par 5 requires a tight drive with trees on both sides so give up the distance on this one. The #5 318yd Par 4 needs a draw tee shot around the LH tree on the dogleg left 200yd landing area. Course grass is very green and full with the greens running (7-8) a little on the soft side, but smooth.
The Back 9 looked more wooded and had more homes scatted throughout the first few holes, but I didn%u2019t play them.
Payed $20 for 9 w/cart but it was $29 for the18/cart senior rate. Ended up shooting 40 w/16 putts on this slightly rolling, well maintained Public golf course.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
