Traveling through the area on while on vacation and only had time for nine (9) holes. Paid $18 w/cart and was not disappointed with price/conditions in this uninterrupted 75 minute round.
With the five (5) tee boxes (3,524 - 2,474yds) with a Par 36, I chose a mix of Black(4)Blue(5) for 6,629yds / 72.0 / 136 on this cool 48 degree morning. The #1 hole 389yd Par 4 Dogleg right, will be the widest fairway you'll hit into on the front 9, miss here and its a long day. The #2 560yd Par 5 is now the #3hcp hole and 200yd carry is needed from the Black tee to reach the fairway. I chose the Blue that played 502yds today and still made Bogie with the tight landing areas. The #4 202yd Par 3 is not friendly missing left/front (deep sand) so chose yardage (186 Blue) wisely and Par is yours. The #6 541yd Par 5 is straight away and plays very good from the Black tees, with only 150yd carry to fairway. If you miss the two (2) well placed fairway traps/rough, its a well played Par hole. The #9 439yd Par 4 and #1 hcp, demands respect as your 2nd shot will test the true carry needed, not to come up short as I did.
The fairways were cut close and rolled out very nice today. The rough was playable but one extra club was needed to carry the yardage needed. The Bermuda greens were rolling (8-10) depending on shading and early morning sunlight. Yardage markers 200-100 found in center of fairway with 150yd sticks for centerline targets. This Front 9 is cut through a rolling wooded area that creates visual tightness even though its wider than it looks.
The Back 9 (3,468 - 2,407yds) Par 36 is also wooded but looked to have more homes mixed in with them. I ended up shooting 39 w/15putts and look forward to returning and playing the complete 18 hole layout for Senior rate of $34 w/cart.
This is worth stopping to play if traveling through this area located 10 minutes off the highway.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level, Best course in the area
Condition of Course, Price, Pace of Play, Ambiance, Staff, Pro Shop, Layout, No Houses on Course, Clubhouse
