$31 (cart included), played on Friday, January 2009 at 2pm

My son lives near here. He said that the Friday senior pm pricing @ $32/18cart is a great deal for this course, he was right.

There were only about 20 golfers on the whole course which gave me a chance to play 2 balls and alot of practice shots for Saturday's round with the boys. Rolling layout, forced carries with the swamp raising its head in alot of areas. Had a great 3hrs without being pushed and course was in great shape for January.

Saturday 9AM Price Change: $50.00 this was pushing alittle too high for the conditions but the course was full and I shot an 82/36putts and 4.5hrs later we walked away.

If you can get a deal @ $40 its worth playing but NOT during race season as its right across the street, VERY close.

Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

I thought after playing Skybrook GC yesterday I would be "Tuned Up" for returning here after 13years.......Surprise!! The recent rains have not drained and dried out the course like Skybrook GC was yesterday, so it was all carry today. They have four (4) tees here playing from Blacks @ 6,970yds / 73.1 / 142 down to Burgundy @ 4,654yds / 63.5 / 110 on this Par 36/36 treelined and undulating layout.

There is swampland and ponds scattered on about half of the holes and well-placed fairway/greenside sand bunkers with good sand. With no overseeding, the dormant wet fairway grass was very difficult to get consistent fairway shots. This was my biggest weakness that needs work. Our foursome decided on the Greens @ 3,311/3,139yds / 70.9 / 136 and being the "Old Man" of the group I had MANY 180-200yd 2nd shots. (That missed). This is a great hole-separated layout, with shaped fairways that have you looking for landing areas, within your reach. With no GPS on the carts and cart path only, I believe walking would give you a better feel of conditions for your 2nd shots. We all made comments on the tees for the Par 3's as being beat up pretty bad for the Green & White boxes, but it is winter. This would be a great layout to see and play in its lush green condition and the trees tighten up your views.

Ended up shooting 42/42 w/31putts as the wet fairways, long fairway irons took their toll on hitting greens and missing those beautiful white sand traps. Must play here if you're in the area, but not on race day. (Across the street)
