$31 (cart included), played on Friday, September 2018 at 7:45 AM

In the area for a wedding so decided to find a course to get in a quick early morning round. Many Private courses in area that I couldn't play and not many Muni's to choose from either. But found this 1973 built nine (9) hole track designed by Geoffrey Cornish, a local resident that has 25 courses in Connecticut connected to him, so I had to play one of his courses. Its built in a sub-division (homes hidden)with some driving between holes, that I would suggest getting the cart. I decided to play just one (1) loop with two (2) balls to get my 18 holes from the Blues that played today at 3,066yds / 69.6 / 127 on this Par 35 layout. I could tell the the years haven't been to kind to the tee boxes (rough) and bent grass fairways that had bald and thin areas. But the greens were off the hook on holding shots, good size, smooth (7-8) and rolling very true that saved the day for this course. Now the rolling layout with elevation changes throughout each hole presented challenges you don't find on many nine (9) hole layouts that make up for the short yardages. The holes that you will remember later are #1 an 375yd Par 4 with a tight driving treelined fairway, dogleg left to a 50' elevated green. Then #6 350yd Par 4 downhill 80', dogleg right, that needs a 200yd cut drive around the corner trees to the 100yd stick. #7 383yd Par 4 starts from a elevated tee, tight driving chute downhill, then a extra uphill 2 club yardage to finish it off. No real sand traps until #9 fairway at 200yd landing area on both sides. The defense of this course is its mostly elevated greens that demand full carry with correct club selection. For yardages they had 150yd center fairway stick and then various yardage plaques were nailed to the trees that lined the fairway, thats a first for me. (I smiled, well they aren't moving) Ended up shooting 37/39 w/ 31 putts in 90 minutes (one single in front of me) which was very enjoyable for the $32 Senior 18hole price with cart.

Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
