Played this on a cool/misty November afternoon and had the whole place to myself. Playing from the tips (6,147) it had nice open landing areas that gave some uneven lies to fast/small tricky greens. With a very hilly layout, looking at putts from all sides is a must for getting it right the first time. If the pins are near the edges look REAL close because chipping after a putt (3 times)is not good. Looking forward to playing it when the summer grass comes back and things look more like a golf course. Shot 76/35putts and looking forward to returning when things are green.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

Since I was in this area all week, I decided to revisit this course and see if there have been any changes. Staff is as friendly and helpful as I remembered and the greens........yes, they still sneak up and surprise you.

Paid $28 for 18/cart (2.5hr loop) on this hot and sunny September day to be greeted by green, tree-lined (hardwood/pine mix), rolling and well-groomed fairways. The rough is mostly dried out and hardpan, but with the lack of rain you can only do so much.

There are four (4) Par 3's and three (3) of them are 190yd so you don't pick up any easy strokes on these holes as they are all well protected. The greens were lush and soft but stilled rolled (8-9) true and seem faster when going downhill.

Many of the Front 9 (2,915yd / Par 36) greens have sides that fall off, that will have you reaching for your favorite chipping iron after putting. The #9 @ 196yd Par 3 had me chipping after an above the cup birdie putt turned into a bogie.

The Back 9 (3,232yd / Par 36) is more Links style and wider fairways that have you swinging a little more freely. The toughness on this side is the smaller size green and more sand traps protecting the green that are flatter than the Front 9 so your putting is MUCH easier. In shooting 37/38 w/33putts from the tips (6,147yds) had me feeling good about playing here again on a course that is still well kept and friendly to play.

Afternoon rounds seem to go very quickly, and the two (2) groups I got behind had no reservations about letting me play through.

Stop in if you're passing through this rolling countryside and want to practice your UN-even shot selections.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
