Refurbished bent greens 09/2012, now back to their usual moderately fast pace; they are very undulated/challenging. This course gives your short game a stiff test AND your driver if challenging the 10 (of 12) drivable risk-reward par 4s. HCC is in my top 5% of visually pleasing courses, especially in mid October.
Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Best course in the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
Pros: Condition of Course, Difficulty, Layout, Price, Ambiance, No Houses on Course, Staff
Cons: Clubhouse, Food/Bar Facilities

Refurbishing GREENS 9/2012 until anticipated REOPENING April 2013. The bent greens are typically fabulous, moderately fast, & very undulated/challenging. This course gives your short game a stiff test AND your driver if challenging the 10 (of 12) drivable par 4s. The 72 year old greens have been plagued with pithium from July through March the past 4 years. HCC has an open air clubhouse as the historic clubhouse burned down May 2012. HCC is in my top 5% of visually pleasing courses, especially in mid October.
