We joined as Winter Texans in Jan. and Feb. 2018 and played three to four times a week. Easy to set tee times. We found the course very challenging. However, as we played more often, we got better and played smarter.
The holes on the Bay were especially beautiful and demanding with precise landing areas. Drive it straight--plenty of trouble off the fairway, plenty of traps guarding greens, and plenty of water. Greens putt true and are very fast. Greens are crowned and raised and at this time of year were not very receptive (could roll onto only a few and found it difficult to make the approach shot stick). The grass around the greens requires precise club selection.
The wind was constant (only played twice with winds below 10 mph, dealt with 15-25 mph most days). Built on the curve of Corpus Christi Bay, most holes played into the wind.
Course membership included driving range privileges and use of the workout center. Senior tees and Forward tees are placed in fair positions to score well.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level, Best course in the area
