One of the better courses in the area. A bit over priced because there are other courses of near competitive quality for less. An example that comes immediately to mind is Healy Point Country Club also in Macon. Not quite as good, but about 40% less in price and only 10% less in quality. Saying that, if money was not an obstacle, I would play Idle Hour weekly. Great layout, fine staff, good elevation changes. Fairways are wide open, but the small elevated greens add a challenge. Nice upscale old style country club course.
