I had mixed feelings about this course.Russ, our starter, was great.
He got us out early, explained many things about the course, and even stopped to chat about the course after 9. Mike, in the pro shop had a great sense of humor upon checking us in. A good staff always makes the round more enjoyable. The fairways were generous, the greens large and spectacular, very scenic with wildlife, and I'd probably have to go to Lake Michigan to see more sand than this course had. I think the reason I had mixed feelings was the pace. Signs in the pro shop indicated 4 to 6 hours to play depending on the time of day and day of the week. We got around in 4 3/4 hours although the flow seemed reasonable. I think this is one of Ken Killian's bst designed courses I've played. Our group rated this course an 8 1/2 out of 10 and will definitely play again in the future.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area
Difficulty, Layout, Ambiance, No Houses on Course, Staff
