I have a Players Spirit Card, so the price was less than rack. I played on Thursday. They were obviously preparing for the weekend. On practically every hole, the fairway maintenance and greens mowing machines were ahead of me. There were piles of grass along the mowing lines, so the ball did not play as normal. The greens were not brushed, so I experienced the same thing occasionally. One will not find a more friendly pro shop staff. Dennis Pugh, the club pro, is outstanding, helpful, and humorous. He gets you started with a sense of pleasure coming your way. I play this course often, and it's one of the hidden gems (from those who don't know about it) in the Coachella Valley. It is out of my price range because I am a year around resident. However, if I were a vacationer, I would play this challenging track every day. Magnificent layout surrounded by mountainous and windless beauty. All courses in this area are overseeded every fall. Indian Canyons South Course is seeded late, so the play dates offset the closed dates of other local courses. I prefer this course to Indian Canyons North Course, which has homes along the fairways, a different and less interesting track -- but it is also a beautiful course. One must play it once, at least. It was once a private club course that has been repossessed by the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indian nation. They are doing a terrific job in this area.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
