I love this course layout; it has plenty of risk/reward opportunities to tempt golfers to try for an eagle or birdie. Punishments for those who 'go for it' and fail to make the shot are fair, too. The biggest complaint I've heard from other golfers is course condition, but be aware that a new head groundskeeper has improved conditions, especially for the greens over the past couple of years. Also consider that with THE BEST views in Orange County, if Stony Ford had near-perfect conditions, they'd probably be charging closer to $100 per round! All in all, a great county course; much, much better than the other county course, Hickory Hills in Warwick, which was designed by the same course architect.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
