It was the Best of Times, It Was the Worst of Times. I played this course 2 days after it reopened from their major restoration. During the restoration all the greens and greenside bunkers were replaced and/or restored. The result is fabulous. Unfortunately, the rest of the course is as bad as the green complexes are good. There were large bare spots in the fairways, most notably holes 1,4 & 10, and the rough is nothing more than sandy ground with some green grass interspersed. Several times a shot that ended up 1 foot off the fairway might as well have been in an unraked waste area as you could not advance the ball due to the lie. If you want to play preferred lies everywhere on the course until you reach the green area then this course is fine. If you like to play the ball as it lies then I suggest you look elsewhere. Perhaps now that the greens are done they will turn their attention towards the rest of the course.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
