The greens at Galen Hall are excellent; fast and tricky. The overall course condition is excellent as well. With plenty of elevation changes and blind shots, the course is very challenging. The layout, however, closes in on crazy. The 2nd hole includes a blind shot across a public road. A public road also bisects the 3rd's fairway. There are two tee boxes on the back directly in harm's way from other holes' tee shots. Carts parked at the 11th tee are less than 10 yards from the 10th's green. Besides the on course layout liabilities, the place also has the worst situated bag drop area I have ever seen. The positives are great, but the layout issues are myriad. I can't decide whether I love the course, or hate it.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
