Tanglewood has consistently excellent greens. Fairways and bunkers are good but not excellent. Layout is interesting enough, with some risk / reward holes. Price has steadily climbed to the point where it is no longer the value it once was. I take issue with one point in the course description for this course. Hole #16 might be the shortest hole at Tanglewood, but it is far from the easiest. The turtle back, severely inclined green virtually guarantees a bogey for any shot above or lateral to the hole. It is very easy to putt right off the green. There are several short, innocous par 4's at Tanglewood that are much easier than #16. They are right about #8, though.. That is a big boy's hole.
