Tee time is a problem if you aren't buddies with the guy running the place.
Two fast pace players in a cart are expected to play behind a walking foursome because they are buddies with him. Allowing dog fights on weekends is a problem. No Marshall to monitor players playing the course. First or second tee time will run into players told to tee off on #10 if they want to. Playing course by the layout. Members will try to cut off yardage on #2 by teeing off across #8 fairway even if players are in the fairway causing a dangerous situation. A year or so ago there was a guy that was working on the course and was making some real improvements, I guess he wasn't part of the buddy system and left, haven't seen him lately.
The course is going downhill as far as quality. I play there a lot only because I am retired and on a fixed income and it's cheap, not because of quality of course. The ladies at the counter are very nice and cordial every time I go in there, they are friendly and try to get you in and out and onto the course quickly. Standing tee time for members is a problem. Golfers being asked by members who gave them their tee time is a big problem, first course I have ever seen that this is allowed.
Like to play 36 holes when we play. After 18 we survey the openings and go wherever there is an opening and won't jump in front of anyone. We ALWAYS go in and pay for replay after we finish to save time and have been sent messages by the manager that we were jumping in front of people which is not true after having people jumping in front of us due to no Marshall.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I wouldn't recommend this course, More than a field, but less than a golf course, Worse than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
