Playing in the heat of summer, the conditions were what I expected: soft, slow greens and bushy fairways. We had the course to ourselves. I was disappointed with the layout. The front was tight and not in keeping with its Top 100 Public ranking. Very average. The back really only had about five spectacular holes, especially the par 3 16th(?), playing to an island green over a rocky wasteland.
I would play again, but only in the $60-80 range. There are better, more interesting courses in Palm Springs that don't rely on the Dye name or PGA West.
