Course is a state park course, and therefore isn't anything fancy, but it does have a nice layout that plays well for most players. It's a semi-open layout, with trees that line most fairways but they can be played out of easily. The course is usually in good shape, with greens that are somewhat deceptively difficult. Located in the Portsmouth, OH area where there are only 2 courses of note and this is the best of the 2 (the other is the Donald Ross designed Elks Club).
Would travel: 60 - 120 miles
Bottom line: Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
