The "value" rating is derived from the service available in the Palm Springs area: After 5:30 on any given day, one can call in to central service for following day tee times at discounted rates at courses that have not filled their schedules. Desert Princess offered discounts similar to the others, but its undiscounted weekend fee is lower than that of the other two courses I played during the period, further enhancing its perceived value relative to the other courses in the Palm Springs area which are, from what I heard and experienced in my one week there, all pretty spectacular golf venues.
DP's offering of 3 very different nines was a real plus for me.
Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
