It is a private course, and I played it this time during a fund-raiser. It is a venerable parkland layout--mature trees, etc. Something of a classic, an "old-school" design without large rocks, pools, etc. in the fairway. You can let it out off the tee most holes. Easy to walk from greens to the next tee. Greens can be challenging but are fair and not tricked up.
I learned golf on this course a long while ago and have played it as an adult a couple of times as a guest. It is located on the NW edge of Richmond near the Pt. Pinole Regional Park, which borders San Pablo Bay (the northern part of San Francisco Bay). Easily accessible off Richmond Parkway.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area
Condition of Course, Layout, Ambiance, No Houses on Course, Clubhouse
