I played here in a charity tournament (hence the higher than average green fee, about double).
The course was fantastic. It was scenic, it was in great shape, and even the pace of play was good. The staff is wonderful at the Ridge and everything from the food to the golf carts was excellent.
I played this course years ago when I first took up the game of golf and thought that the course was very demanding and difficult for high handicappers. Now that I have played enough and improved during that time, I find that this is a very nice course. I have also learned much about course management, and if you play smart, you will come to love this golf course as well. A great golfing experience awaits you at the Ridge.

This was a very difficult course to play. NOT recommended for high handicappers and definitely not for beginners as it is very tough to play.
The fairways were very good, however if you hit any shot into the first cut of rough you will be in big trouble. The first cut of rough was approximately 3-4 inches the day I played. To make matters worse, when it was mowed sometime prior to when I played, they just left the grass cuttings in the rough so there were piles of grass all over the place. I lost several balls that had just rolled into the first cut of rough right off of the fairway. Very frustrating.
Another disappointing aspect of this course was the layout. Hole locations are not clearly marked, making it difficult to find some tee boxes. Also, there are a couple of holes that have blind doglegs that leave the golfer clueless as to how to approach the green.
I happened to take my wife out with me to play this course and we both found it very difficult even though we play quite a bit of golf throughout the year. Very challenging to even the better golfer. Too challenging for the average/high handicap golfer.
