I first played Brookside #2 as a teen-ager, a very long time ago now. Played there twice a week, at least during my Sophomore year of college at Pasadena Community College. I have
probably not played there more than a dozen time since then, i.e 1954-55 because I have lived too far away over the intervening years. I enjoyed playing the course again and especially enjoyed shooting an 87--my best round so far this year. E.O. Nay, the name of
the course, is, in my opinion, a good course for Seniors who don't hit the ball as far as they used to hit it. The drainage ditch that comes into play on at least 8 holes can be a problem if you don't keep the ball in the fairway. It's primarily a problem for those who hook their shots, though a slice can get you into trouble on three of the holes. I got the Senior Rate, which was $37+ with a cart. That's about $10 more than I usually pay at similar courses in the area, so I think it's a bit overpriced.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area
Condition of Course, Ambiance, No Houses on Course, Staff, Clubhouse
