La Mirada
2014-05-19
$26 (cart included), played on Friday, May 2014 at noon
I played LaMirada on the fourth of what was to have been 98 to 100, or more, temperature readings. It was not as warm as was predicted, which may have accounted for fewer golfers on the course than I expect is the usual number. We began just before Noon and finished just before 4 P.M., so the pace of play was excellent. I expect fewer golfers than usual chose to play due to the anticipated temperature. A few holes wind through valleys, so there are times when you are not likely to have a good flat lie, but that's golf isn't it? The greens were in good shape I thought, though a couple of them were a bit bumpy. Overall I enjoyed my round, and the special that offered a hot dog and chips for $27.50 for a Senior and $32.50 for a non-Senior was a good deal in my opinion.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
