Course conditions, tees & greens especially, are terrible. This course once had some of the best greens in northern VA, now they are dead! Tees are mostly dirt.
The course changed ownership, went bankrupt, and is now run by the finance company. Davis Love Golf manages the place, AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED!
The guy who owned the course a few years back kept it in perfect shape and obviously cared a great deal. He would be sad to see what happened to his course through a series of non-caring owners and poor management.
The layout is still beautiful. Plays along the river, and up onto the adjoining mountain. No houses to be seen, except for those miles in the distance from one elevated mountain tee.
The course is for sale - I hope that it is saved. It's a gem.
