Beautiful course in the hills of northern Alabama. The first hole is an easy par 4, then the next 12 holes take you to the woodshed for thinking you were going to get away without using your A game. Hole 13 lets you rest against the ropes, but 14 brings you back to reality, followed by a healthy dose of "get your game in shape before you come around these parts again" in holes 15 through 18. It's not overly hard, especially since management decided the rough doesn't need to be U.S. Open level this year, but it is challenging.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing, Ranks with the best in this price level
