$16 (cart included), played on Monday, February 2010 at 10am

Played here 2-1-10, as a "course of last resort," in our effort to find someplace within 50 miles of Pinehurst that was open for play during a period of nasty weather. Course is very poorly maintained, even for mid-winter. Layout is OK, but could have been better, and the course is compact enough to allow for easy walking, but it's just not very good. Tee boxes are small and in rough shape. Fairways are all bermuda and browned out, and have many erosion ditches and lotsa lumps and bumps. Bunkers were like rock. Greens were very bumpy and some were patchy. Distance markings are almost non-existent. Clubhouse is minimal: not one single item of merchandise for sale! No food available, either. However, the few staff we encountered were very nice people, and made us feel very welcome. I do not recommend this course.

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
