Played Bear Creek last year and the greens were thinly seeded, untrue and slow, and the traps had no sand. BUT, in December the greens were overseeded much better, they were true, softer and quicker to putt on, and the bunkers were all redone with great sand in them. When I was asked in the winter of 2010 if I would play Bear Creek more frequently, I said not until the greens and the bunkers were fixed....they are fixed, and I will play it regularly now as it is a good test with much better grass on the greens. And the price was very competitive.
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
