Balboa is a pretty dull experience. Flat topography, no great holes. I played as part of a club tournament. Otherwise, I would never play the course unless I was truly desperate. Its sister course, Encino, shares the same clubhouse and practice facilities, and is a much better track. The only positive is that it is in pretty good condition at this time of year (winter).
Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, I wouldn't recommend this course, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
