I play this course every year and the greens are in awful condition right now. Bad repairs on a nunber of greens, and turf on the greens is patchy and very thin. Cart path only because of the water logged fairways. Pace of play was great. Seems like the food barn between 9 & 10 is almost always closed, but there was a cart girl today. The cafe menu is very short.
The course winding through the vineyard and the canyons is easliy one of the best there is. I drive 400 miles every year to play it.
Balls not in the fairway (1st cut of rough, or worse) will probably be lost because it the rough is thick & deep and there isn't anything to gauge where the ball went ... it's all big tracks of expansive green grass. More yardage markers or a GPS would be helpful!
