I have played Paxon for years. It is a nice course with some challenging holes. Not very long, but still challenging; especially #18. A par 5 with a tight fairway. Trouble everywhere. The course has some "target" golf holes. Even though they are not very long, your placement needs to be good.
Especially #13, which to me, is one of the toughest holes anywhere. Your drive is uphill to a blind fairway, trouble on the left. Your approach is to a very small green with trouble everywhere except straight. Green is surrounded by bunkers and a steep drop-offon the left.
Paxon has always been in great shape. Friendly staff. Decent bar, although small.
Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Average course for the area
Condition of Course, Layout, Ambiance, Pace of Play
