1. Pace was a little slow which is understandable given the long carries and the desert being in play for nearly every shot. More (please, any) marshals might have helped with this holiday Sunday.
2. The range of tee choices was excellent. Our foursome had a couple 10-15 and a couple 30 handicappers but everyone was able to choose a challenging and interesting layout without being overwhelmed.
3. The practice area was also excellent and range balls were provided with the fee. The speed and slope of the practice greens matched the course and there were extensive areas for practicing chipping and sand shots. This really made it worth while to arrive early.
4. Minor comments: this is not a walkers course with many long rides from green to the next tee and very poor direction markers for us first timers; there was drinking water on the course but the refreshment cart came by at the 2nd tee box and not again until the 17th green about 4 hours later (so no lunch for me).
Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again
