The staff members are quite "snooty" at times and do not seem like they want your money or business. They always have a comment about what time you "have to have the carts in" or what time the driving range closes.
"This is a public golf course for goodness sakes!" The course itself has nice fairways, greens, etc..."good job maintenance/grounds keepers" but the staff make no attempt to welcome "outsiders."
The locals rule with their 5,6 and even 7-somes and will not allow faster players thru.
Short 15 minute drive to a staff that welcomes all at Buckhorn in Comfort.
I have played there several times a year for many years and always walk away upset with the staff.
Would travel: 10-20 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Better than average course for the area
