I played this course as part of a group of 12 from Fair Oaks Ranch(San Antonio area) on the morning of 6/24/08. The course was not overly crowded, but there were a number of other players. I found the course in good condition, in spite of the very dry Summer we are experiencing in South Texas. There was a good mixture of fairly routine holes, and then on the backside you are faced with a series of holes laid out next to Corpus Christi Bay. The first of these holes(#13), is a par 3 facing directly into the bay, and the ever-present wind. The hole plays anywhere from 195 yards from the back to 145(scorecard) yards from the front tees, and club selection presents a real challenge. The next couple of holes play next to the bay and are both senic and fun to play. On the rating of this course I am probably somewhat influenced by the fact I scored a hole-in-one on number 11.
