If you have the opportunity to go to the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course, make sure you go. The course is restricted to the public so you need to be military, retired military or sponsored in some way by a member of the military to play.
If you''ve got connections, you''''ll find a beautiful course, friendly people - both the staff and fellow golfers and the most breathtakingly beautiful course. It wasn''t nearly as crowded as nearby public courses -- we got in there and out of there on a Sunday in about 4 1/2 hours.
The other thing that I like about course is that that if you are polite to others, they will return with politeness. There was a foursome of young Marines ahead of us who took like six shots to even get on the green and they were taking forever. By the fourth hole we approached them and asked them if they would mind if we played through (there were only two of us) and they were more than happy to let us go ahead. I think it also helped to communicate to them because I don''t think they knew that we were being held up. Other than that -- we never had to wait.
It went too fast in fact -- and that was a Sunday!
Would travel: 0-10 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level, Best course in the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
Condition of Course, Price, Ambiance, Pace of Play, Staff, Pro Shop
