Definitely a challenging course combining the layout and wind factor. Hills and shrubs play with your depth perception if you're not used to hilly layouts. I wouldn't want to play this course at sunrise because the sun hitting the water will blind you. Placement from the tee box is key for a successful round here. So if you think you can just crush the ball, you'll be humbled really fast. I wouldn't recommend this course for a beginner, they'd probably quit the game. Pace of play was not a factor when we played since it was after working hours and on a weeknight. Hardly any golfers around. Tricky to get to...Iphone navigation and Mapquest got it wrong after exiting at 111th Street so be careful. If it tells you to turn on Doty Avenue and you see the US Bank building, you're on the wrong side of I-94. I-94 cuts Doty Avenue and GPS tells you the wrong direction. Go back across the bridge and down the ramp for I-94 and you'll see a street before getting on I-94.
Ate a brat at the turn and it was good. Pricy but good. Brat, chips and a Lime A Rita was $10.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
