This may be my favorite place to play in the area. Although the golf course (a great old MacKenzie design) itself may be just a notch or two below some of the more well-known courses in the Bay Area (in terms of difficulty, not layout), the entire experience cannot be beat. The setting is spectacular. As the name would suggest, it is situated in a beautiful mountain meadow, surrounded by watershed. I don't think there is a house visible from the course. The only noise you hear comes from the birds. The clubhouse is fabulous and fits into the landscape perfectly. All in all, just a great place.
Would travel: 60-120 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level
Condition of Course, Layout, Ambiance, No Houses on Course, Clubhouse
