I've played Hobbs Hole for 25 years. Each year has shown improvements and today the course is in very fine shape. The green's crew has done a great job in continuing to develop the fairways. The greens themselves have been excellent for years. While you can get in "trouble" on the course, you can get out of it too. It has the look of a links-style course in many parts but also a more traditional look in others. A few houses on two fairways but the rest is nicely wooded and reflects the Virginia countryside. The course pro, Troy Thorne, is terrific and runs a nice pro shop.
Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Best course in the area
