One of the "guarantee" courses you'll: 1. get on (even without a tee time), 2, have a good round (wide fairways/soft greens), 3. get paired up with nice people (it's North Tonawanda for cyring out loud!), 4. shoot a good score.

I'm the most unhospitable single you'll ever get paired with, yet every time I go to this course I get paired up with good people and shoot low scores.

The course itself is not going to receive awards for "Challenging" or "tough to navigate". What you get at Deerwood is no nonsense par 4s (all around the 380-400 mark), solid par threes and three shot par fives. What is especially nice at Deerwood, near perfect lies in the fairway. No need to kick it a bit to prop it up. The rough is pretty user friendly, however early in the morning it can be dew wet and tough to get club through.

The three "9s" are the: Fawn, Doe, and Buck. The Fawn is the most recenlty added 9, a tighter, more "Shot makers" course. The Fawn and Doe are "Grip it and Rip it" variety. The staff has always been very friendly to me and equally accommodating.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Ranks with the best in this price level
