It's almost unfair to rate a Texas golf course in the middle of this drought. That having been said, the drought has not been kind to Bluebonnet. Outside of the tee boxes and the areas around the greens, you're going to play a lot of REALLY thin lies out there. Good news: the greens are still receptive and will hold shots--putts are a little bouncy but not too bad. You can tell how hard the staff is working on the greens by the fact that, even in these conditions, a good approach shot will still make a ball mark. Bad news: nobody's repairing any of their freakin' ball marks! C'MON, MAN!

Most of the greens had multiple bare patches; to the staff's credit, they seemed to keep the pins away from bad areas or areas that you'd have to putt through. Fairway and light rough lies were iffy; some of this should improve as spring and summer take better hold.
