Wilshire has always been one of LA's great courses. The updating by Kyle Phillips in 2009 greatly improved the shot values and difficulty while remaining true to Norman Macbeth's original design. Some (not all) of the fairway bunkers are deep and difficult, intentionally. One does not always have to have a shot to the green from a fairway bunker. As anyone who has played the Old Course knows, bunkers are hazards. You should pay a price for hitting into one. Wilshire's greens continue to be the finest in Los Angeles -- fast, true, challenging, and fairly firm.

Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
