The re-modeled Bayonet compares favorably with other great courses I have played for layout, green/bunker complexes and overall conditioning. The course really felt like a US Open quality course. Spyglass,Bethpage Black, Winged Foot, Riviera or Olympic were no more challenging or even better maintained than Bayonet on the day I played. Considering the green fees are $100 ( $60 for seniors), Bayonet is a must if you're in the Monterey/Carmel area. On my next trip I will play the Blackhorse as well.
Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: Better than average course for the area, Ranks with the best in this price level, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
