SilverThorn is not a bad course at all. While I haven't played it a lot over the years, perhaps 3 or 4 times each year, its never been in poor condition. But it isn't an exciting course, not one that grabs your imagination. Its sort of ordinary as far as golf course goes. Greens are good however.
But the price is always right for us. Staff are generally helpful and tee times always available. When you have to get 3 or more tee times this really helps.
Wish I could be more positive about this course and I pefer to support golf courses in general, but its just a course I seek to play often. Not sure how else to describe it. Where I play, 11 other guys play, so its important for me to feel good about a course. Otherwise I punish them by taking 11 other guys and playing elsewhere.
